1. Hause Rooftop

Hause Rooftop is a cozy western restaurant located in MD Place Tower 2 that has both indoor and outdoor areas. As the name suggests, the outdoor setting is favorable among visitors because it lets them enjoy the beautiful scenery of the capital city while sipping on some coffee and brunching hard. The outdoor area is also surrounded by a lot of green plants and so is the indoor area. They have several vegan options on their brunch menu, including different types of smoothie bowls and “Tofu Scramble”. They also serve classical brunch menus such as egg benedicts and toasts. According to many, their tropical smoothie bowl is a recommended menu for brunch because the portion is not too big and the fruit tastes super fresh.

2. Maison Kayser

Best-known for its bread and desserts, Maison Kayser is an authentic French boulangerie that is located inside of Setiabudi One Building. They are also well-known for the classy ambiance as it is mainly painted with white walls and its interiors give off an authentic French-café vibe. 

Aside from their bread, they also serve brunch menus such as salads, soup, and sandwiches. We recommend visitors to try out their tuna salad and choco éclairs.

3. Egghotel

Considered as one of the latest hidden gems for brunch spots in Setiabudi (or even the whole Jakarta), Egghotel is a brand new Australian-inspired Asian fusion restaurant, specifically located on the rooftop of Suites @ Seven Residence. The indoor area has a vintage concept and uses a lot of wooden furniture, giving it a cozy vibe for visitors. Moreover, since this is a rooftop café, the outdoor area also has so much to offer! You can enjoy the beautiful city scenery of Jakarta from here and there are also lots of instagramable spots.  As we mentioned previously, you will be able to find a lot of Australian-brunch items on the menu such as Avo on Toast, B.E.P (2 stacks of pancakes with a sunny side up eggs, bacon, mixed greens, chili orange syrup), and Pumpkin Sorghum Salad. We recommend you to try their Hey Benny, which is an Egg Benedict served with grilled chicken, Prata bread and curry. Their eggs were soft-boiled to perfection, and their grilled chicken is rich in flavor.

4. Fillmore Coffee

Also another hidden gem in South Jakarta, Fillmore Coffee is located in the same building as Egghotel. Using a lot of wood furniture, as well as decorating the place with green plants makes the café’s interior very homey and also creates a vibe that makes visitors want to stay here for hours. 

Besides being famous for their coffee, Fillmore also serves brunch menu such as Egg on Toast, Avo on Toast, and B.E.P (2 stacks of pancakes with a sunny side up eggs, bacon, mixed greens, chili orange syrup), as well as bread and cookies which are also famous among its regular customers. We also recommend you to try out their smoothie bowl menu called “Black Soma,” which consists of dragon fruit, banana, mango, bamboo charcoal, and coconut water. It also has a topping of mango slices and dragon fruit. The taste is not too sweet and the granola, seeds, and coconut flakes give it a crunchy texture. Yum!

Located inside of Setiabudi One building, Classified is a western-style brunch restaurant that belongs to the same group as The Duck King. With a semi-minimalistic interior concept, Classified gives off a good ambiance for people who would like to sit and talk while enjoying their brunch food and coffee. 

Like we have mentioned previously, Classified’s menu is composed of mostly western-style food and so are their brunch menus. We recommend you try out their Classified Booster Mash, which consists of avocado and soft-boiled eggs, as well as their Classified Egg Benedict which you can choose to be combined with either smoked salmon, beef bacon, or streaky bacon.
