Turns out, coliving is considerably more affordable than renting a place for your own or living in conventional kos-kosan. Besides, living with a roommate can bring a lot of advantages as well. One of the most advantageous perks you get from coliving is you get to share your rent cost all related expenses together with your roommates! That way, you can live in a nice crib with a strategic location near your office that supposedly consumes half of your pay at such a cheaper cost! Even though you have to share space with other people, you get to save up some money from the shared bills. Besides, living with a roommate can be a lot of fun too! What’s better than getting a good deal at a great price, right?

2. Shared Home Appliances 

Another advantage of living together with other people is you can use each other’s stuff without having to buy for your own, such as your friend’s new toaster, or basic home cleaning equipment. That, of course, should come with consent from both parties to avoid any miscommunications. You can also have joint savings with your roommate and buy furniture and home appliances that would be too expensive to afford alone, like a coffeemaker that you both would love to use every morning. Great way to save up your money right?

3. Dinner For Two

Sometimes you want to order a pizza but it would be too much for you to finish. With a roommate, you can get the foods you want without worrying about the leftovers! You can also go dutch and share your bill with your roommate in buying foods or groceries for the whole week. If you would like to save up more money, getting busy in the kitchen and cooking your own meal would cost you cheaper than buying take-outs every day. Besides, cooking can be a fun activity to do with your roommate which would strengthen the bond between you two.

Last but not least, you get to exchange clothes, accessories, or shoes with your roommates without having to buy them for yourselves! Then again, this needs consent from both parties. You can also use each other toiletries or makeup, or maybe buy it for sharing purpose. That way, you can use a lot of stuff without having to spend as much!
