HOURS Coffee & More is not just a place to hang out and have afternoon tea, but it’s also a haven for digital nomads who want to enjoy some time alone with their laptops. HOURS is also very Instagenic, with distinctive retro vibes that will make you want to take selfies all the time. Whether you’re alone or in a group, it’s the place to go when you need to present an impressive image of Jakarta.

Their selection of artisanal teas will certainly impress you. You have the usual white tea with some variations (infused by Persian pink rose and Egyptian basil, wow!), black tea perfumed with bergamot, and rooibos tea with an assortment of notes. But our eyes immediately jumped at their renditions of Japanese tea. For starters, they have the aptly-named Momotaro tea, which is Japanese sencha with peach infusions. 3. Kopium Artisan Coffee

So, you’re a die-hard tea lover, but your main squeeze prefers coffee. What to do?

Luckily, a perfect date night where you can both indulge in your poisons together is not an impossibility. Kopium Artisan Coffee (open in Kelapa Gading, Sunter, Depok, Hayam Wuruk, and Kuningan) is a budget-friendly coffee shop that’s all the rage with the Jakarta youth right now. The space in Kelapa Gading is a bit tight, but it only adds to the lively atmosphere, especially if you come in on a Saturday Night. With friendly baristas, delightful food, and drinks to please every crowd, what’s not to like?

Their tea menu’s availability differs from store to store and tea leaf stock, but you should be able to taste organic tea with intriguing names such as Rise and Shine and Slim and Slender. If you’re lucky, you can also enjoy their Canadian Maple Walnut tea, which is starting to make its rounds among the Jakarta tea society nowadays.

It’s a pet-friendly cafe, with a cuddly critter aesthetic going on. It even has Cforcupcakes and Coffee Signature Cups with tiny sleeping corgis at the bottom. If you’re looking to die from cuteness, this is the place! Seriously, everything about this cafe screams pure, tastes-like-diabetes animal lover. You can tell that they pour love onto their Cat Fogatto, Bunny Cota, and Bichon Puff with the ice cream crafted into their animal likeness. Furthermore, its family-friendly, enchanting atmosphere is perfect for you to bring young nieces and sisters or fellow animal-loving friends. And your pets. Please bring your pets.

As we mentioned before, their tea comes in glass cups with puppies hanging on the edge. No, wait. What we’re trying to say is they have an assortment of Artisan Tea with floral specimens such as lavender tea, rose tea, and blooming tea.
