It’s nice to have a slice of pizza or a bowl of pasta from time to time. Believe it or not, Jakarta houses a lot of delicious Italian restaurants. They range from casual lunch spots to fancy dinner dates. So we have listed some of the best Italian restaurants for you in Jakarta that will blow your mind. Let’s check them out!

1. Toodz House

Toodz House is an Italian restaurant and café that serves various menus at affordable prices. Located in Cipete, this place offers a cozy ambiance. It is located in an old building so space-wise, it’s quite small. Many customers come here more than once since the food is too good. You can try to visit this place with your friends or significant other to have a casual lunch or dinner while enjoying the warm atmosphere. 

We recommend you try Carbonara Rice. It is rice poured with creamy carbonara sauce and is paired with an additional side dish that you can choose such as breaded chicken, spicy grilled chicken, black pepper beef patty, or mushroom and spinach. For drinks, you should try the French Vanilla Tea, which is basically black tea that has a strong but nice vanilla scent.

Place is nice with good ambiance to do some focused work. Tried dory rice and it was good. The chocolate milk is also nice. Cost you around 70-80K person. Might be more though. Parking is awful for car try ask parking men outside before you park there!

2. Union

Union is a casual dining spot offering Italian and American cuisine as well as unique cakes. It has quite a few branches but the one in Pondok Indah Mall is by far the nicest one. Most of the customers are impressed by the cakes they offer so they tend to come here to just buy them to go. This brasserie and bar also serve alcohol and offers live music during the evening. 

The menus are kind of pricey but it is so worth it. We recommend you their Calamari, which is a deep-fried crispy squid with San Marzano Tomatoes & Tartar, for your appetizer. Also, try one of the most recommended cakes which is the Red Velvet Cake. It’s one of our favorites!

Love the cakes here, but my absolute fav is the Ube Velvet Cake. It has different textures, from the creamy cheese, airy ube cream, to crunchy biscuit crumbles. The best part was that it was not overly sweet so it’ll satisfy your sweet tooth but not overwhelm it. The cake also goes well with a cup of tea or to mellow the rich flavor or a cup of coffee to balance out the sweetness!

3. Social House

Social House (SoHo) is quite popular for many locals and ex-pats. Not only serving Italian cuisines but also offering American and Asian foods. This restaurant is spacious and also has a nice ambiance. It allows the customers to comfortably converse with one another while having their meals.

Despite its high price, the taste is very much worth it. Appetizers, drinks, and desserts are made with the utmost quality. You might want to order the Pizza Gourmand and also the Crunchy Waffle that is served with sweet sauce. Its signature programs that they have is the Big breakfast every weekday. So, it won’t hurt to have Italian food in the morning right?

4. Gia Restaurant & Bar

Located in Jl. Jenderal Sudirman, Gia Restaurant is a well-known Italian restaurant amongst the socialites of Jakarta. The classy decor and ambiance are attractive to many. The customers are given excellent and fast service. The chefs are also informative as well. Furthermore, there is a VIP room on the second floor for those who are celebrating a birthday or anyone who wants to have a more private dinner with family

Although the price might be a bit higher, the quality of the food makes up for it. We recommend you order a great appetizer such as the Pappa di Podomoro –  classic tomato soup with bread, basil, and evoo. You could also try their pizza, San Daniele & Burrata Pizza which is topped with San Daniele ham, mozzarella, burrata, and basil.

It surprises me how they have a good welcome bread (and we ordered take home of that welcome bread too). I love their salmon carpacio, the truffle pizza is also good.

Located in South Jakarta, Pizza Place offers various pizzas with many options for toppings. This Italian restaurant has a New York-themed interior. It is located in the Como Park Building, making it convenient to enjoy your meal while looking out at the Como Park that is full of adorable dogs having fun. 

Their specialty is thin-crust pizzas. You can either get a slice for yourself or a whole pizza (we won’t judge). It will be served fresh from the oven and it is also halal certified. The price is quite affordable since per slice only costs Rp25.000 – 35.000. Also, try their signature pasta! They use Aldente kind of pasta, and they also have a vegan menu!

It is one of the best Italian Restaurants in Jakarta. Bistecca is also an Italian-American chophouse with pedigree, classy menus, and a splendid martini bar. The restaurant has a classic home theme and cozy ambiance for you to enjoy. They also have a private room for you to enjoy a date!

Even though their signature menus are their steak and martinis, but you should also definitely try their Australian Wagyu Steak! You should also try their SIGNATURE HAND-CUT FRIES with Organic Egg and Crispy Pork Bacon. besides their martini’s, they have wines and beers for you to enjoy.

I went here many times and they consistently cook great steak with excellent taste. Always had a nice fine dining experience with Bistecca.
