1. Anomali Coffee Setiabudi

Wanna try a coffee shop with a strong Indonesia vibe? Anomali Coffee offers an Indonesian-style coffee house that would be the perfect place for you to chill with your friends. Claimed to be one of the best coffee shops in Setiabudi and all of Jakarta, they have branches in most of the major cities in Indonesia. One of the more popular branches is in Setiabudi. 

Anomali Coffee is a great spot to relax for those wanting to take a break from work while looking at the beautiful view on Jalan Rasuna from the window of the second floor. They provide indoor spaces and also smoking areas. 

The majority of the coffee beverages are made from roasted local beans which is great because other than serving delicious coffee, they also support local products.  Our recommendation is the combination of Café Latte with a type of bread or even doughnuts that are displayed on the display window!

2. Excelso – Kuningan City Mall

Located in a shopping center Kuningan City Mall – near Flokq’s Aryaduta Semanggi Apartment -, Excelso is a great place to enjoy coffee for those taking a break from shopping or just tired strolling around. The place is filled with sofas, chairs, and tables that make it ideal for you to come with friends or family as well. 

Excelso is quite popular among local people – some might even call it the Starbucks of Indonesia. They also serve heavy meals for breakfast and lunch so you can come over even when you’re on an empty stomach.  

They offer a variety of coffee bean options from Indonesia and all around the world such as Toraja, Luwak, Java Arabica, etc. from. Also, the price itself is a bit higher compared to other local coffee shops but they do make up for it with the quality of their coffee. We recommend you try the Avocado Coffee or Avocado Milk in their signature menu and Dory En Oats for a satisfying lunch.

3. Samakamu Kopi

We’ve seen minimalistic coffee shops; they’re almost everywhere in the city.  How about cute ones? Samakamu Kopi utilizes a cute concept by using mostly pink and white colors in their building. 

Samakamu itself in Indonesian means “with you,” conveying the message that your coffee is meant to be shared with someone special. For the theme itself, we can see that it targets Jakarta’s millennials. On the second floor, the decorations are super pleasing to the eyes and undeniably instagramable. 

The coffee is also another reason why you should check Samakamu out. For first-timers, you might want to choose their signatures Es kopi Samakamu and Kue Klepon. You will also be impressed by their cute packaging as well!

4. Kopi Susu Bu Lurah

Located inside Warung MJS, Kopi Susu Bu Lurah has an open-space concept including outdoor and smoking areas. The name Bu Lurah in Indonesian means the female sub-district head, thus the theme of this coffee shop has a deep local touch. 

Coffees are usually served in a white medium glass with an iconic red rooster print and they provide free-flow kacang sukro, a classic Indonesian peanut snack, on a  plate with a similar print. 

Compared to other coffee shops in South Jakarta, the prices here are relatively cheap so you can enjoy it anytime. Their simplicity makes them one of the best coffee shops in Setiabudi. We recommend their special menu Kopi Susu Bu Lurah.

5. ST ALi Coffee Jakarta

After trying some Indonesian coffee, let’s check-out an international one next. With “Taste of Melbourne” as their theme, ST ALi Jakarta serves a variety of Australian coffee and cuisine. 

Its strategic location makes it easier to be reached and it has an open outdoor space convenient for people who want to smoke. The servers are kind and attentive, and they really make you feel at home. 

For the price, it is reasonable for a foreign menu. The food they serve are ideas for brunch hangouts or meetings. They also have a variety of vegetarian choices and Indonesian as well.  people rave about the Earl Grey Tea and Martabak Cake, so we highly recommend you try those two!

Second to last, we recommend Filmore Coffee. It is one of the best coffee shops in Setiabudi is filled with plants, rustic interiors, and the minimalism industrial atmosphere that will make you feel at home, the real highlight of Fillmore Coffee is that they are notoriously infamous for changing coffee beans every few days or so, and will occasionally bring in coffee roasted by roasters all over the world. They have two floors, the second floor is for people who want to smoke while the first is for non-smokers.

Of course, their signature drinks are the coffee specialty beans, local or even international beans, they can make sure it suits your taste! You should definitely try their beef donut. They also serve other dessert menus and mains for you to enjoy. Their recommended dessert menu is their fruit smoothies!
