Taxi

Taxi is the most expensive option to get into Jakarta, but you will be dropped off at your desired location and it will be a comfortable ride as taxis are equipped with air conditioning. If you wish to travel to the city by taxi, you can find taxi ranks outside all airport terminals. When you step out of the terminal, there will be tons of unofficial taxi drivers offering services. We recommend you use an official taxi service instead of ‘black taxis’, as they often fool visitors into thinking they are offering a cheaper service but they are not.

The most recommended taxi company is Blue Bird Group. You will be able to spot this company by the sticker on the side of their car and by their vehicle’s color but beware of getting fooled, as there are a lot of companies that try to mimic the look of Blue Bird Group cars. If you wish for an upgrade on your ride, then you might want to search for Silver Bird, a more upscale version of Blue Bird. Maybe if you are looking for a limousine service to get into Jakarta, you might want to try Golden Bird.
