Location:
Mediterania Lagoon Residence is located in the commercial area of Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. This sub-district is most known for JIExpo, a large convention center where the famous Jakarta Fair is held annually. Despite being a commercial area, the neighborhood around the apartment is still able to hold a certain countryside charm with low-rise houses, food stalls opening up at night, and the lines of trees beside the sidewalks.
Shopping:
Despite being situated in the bustling neighborhood of Kemayoran, Meditarania Lagoon Residence is not very close to any major shopping center. The closest one is a modest mid-tier boutique mall, called Golden Truly Mall, which has most basic facilities such as a supermarket, department store, and sizeable food court. If you are looking for groceries there are several supermarket options, such as Giant and Hero, where you can find locals and imported goods to fill your pantry.
In the mood for a high-end shopping spree? Then you might want to visit the Thamrin area where you can find Grand Indonesia. It is a popular shopping mall with a great fashion collection that would fulfill your need with only a 20 minutes drive from the apartment.
Restaurants and Bars:
Due to the proximity to Benyamin Suaeb Street, a major road and the center of food and entertainment in the Kemayoran sub-district, the apartment has a great selection of restaurants, from casual dining to international food buffet.
Residents of Mediterania Lagoon Residence is a five-minute walking distance to a couple of Indian restaurants: Zanas Indian FusionCuisine and Udupi Delicious, both are great options for a casual family dinner. If you are looking for a quick and affordable lunch, you can walk a bit further west to Benyamin Suaeb Street and choose one from the many food vendors there.
Nightlife:
Although housing some of the most iconic hawker centers in Jakarta where local youths often hang out late into the night, Kemayoran is not really known for its lively nightlife scene. Musro Lounge at Hotel Borobudur can be an option to try out the nightlife in the neighborhood. If you are looking for the most happening hot spots in Jakarta, you can go to the Menteng area which houses various kinds of bars and pubs. With only 20 minutes' drive, you can chill at the Melly's Garden drinking cocktails, or simply relax at the easy-speak bar in Jaya Gedung.
Transportation:
The neighborhood around Mediterania Lagoon Residence is pretty removed from any public transportation system. So it is recommended to use a car as the main method of transportation. Especially if you are commuting to work early in the morning, public transportation will be crowded. An alternative is to hail a cab, Blue Bird taxis are fairly easy to find around the apartment. Nowadays, people prefer to use online taxi services (e.g. Grab or Gojek) as it is much more affordable than regular taxis. The only thing you need to do is download the app and you are ready to explore the city.
