Pantai Harapanjaya, Muara Gembong, Bekasi Regency

Pantai Harapanjaya is a desa (village) located within the Muara Gembong subdistrict of Bekasi Regency, West Java, Indonesia. Its name, which includes 'pantai' (beach), reflects its coastal location. It is one of six villages in the Muara Gembong district, all of which are situated on the coast, with the exception of Jayasakti.

Pantai Harapanjaya is located in the northern part of Bekasi Regency, within the Muara Gembong subdistrict. Road infrastructure connects Pantai Harapanjaya to other areas, with recent improvements noted for roads linking Pantai Harapanjaya and Desa Jaya Sakti. The district is situated on the Bay of Jakarta and includes the delta of the Citarum River. Accessibility to Muara Gembong, the subdistrict encompassing Pantai Harapanjaya, can be achieved via the Purbaleunyi Highway when traveling from Bandung City.

Pantai Harapanjaya, as part of Muara Gembong, is a coastal area in West Java known for its mangrove ecosystems. These mangroves play a crucial role as a natural protective belt against abrasion and the impacts of climate change. The region also has potential for aquaculture, particularly for seaweed and milkfish cultivation. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and restore the mangrove forests in Muara Gembong due to past land conversion for tambak (ponds) and other uses.
